England and Surrey star Kevin Piertersen started the 2011 cricket season this week, dressed by the former England and Sussex cricketer, James Kirtley.
Kirtley, who retired from the professional game last year, runs the team wear supplier and Cobb PR client, MKK Sports, and recently won a two year contract to supply Surrey with all their kit.
Pietersen made his first appearance of the summer in the game between Surrey and Cambridge MCCU at Fenner’s this week. The Surrey superstar is captaining the side after recovering from double hernia surgery six weeks ago.
James said:
“It’s good to see KP back on the cricket field and well on his way to full fitness. I’m sure the students will soon find out why he remains one of the best batsmen in the world. While it gives me great pride to see the MKK label being worn by the professionals at Surrey, Sussex and Middlesex, I’m equally proud when I see games on the village green or school playing fields and our kit being used by the players.”

Here at Cobb PR, we are big fans of the sound of leather against willow and make the most of having a box at Sussex CCC. Our next Brighton and Hove lunch club is taking place next Friday (21st) at the ground, not a bad way to spend a Friday afternoon.
Keeping on the sporting theme, we are looking forward to hearing from Tim Hutchinson, organiser of the Brighton Marathon, who will be speaking on the day.
If you are interested in learning more about joining the lunch club, please email janet@cobbpr.com for details
