Cobb PR has declared its support for the Living Wage campaign.
Brighton & Hove Chamber of Commerce is spearheading the scheme, which looks at the realistic cost of living and asks businesses to pay their employees £7.45 per hour rather than the £6.19 minimum wage.
The campaign has gained momentum since its launch in November 2012 and the aim is to get 100 businesses signed up.
Cobb PR’s Managing Director, Tim Cobb, said: “The minimum wage allows an individual to eke out a living, whereas the Living Wage provides a better standard of living. All professional service companies should be embracing the concept of the Living Wage.”
The Living Wage website (livingwagebrighton.co.uk) is packed with useful information for anyone thinking about signing up.
