Last Friday the Brighton & Hove Business Lunch Club did something funny for money in aid of Red Nose Day and took it in turns to tell jokes.
Members and guests raised a total of £180 and the winning joke was told by Michael Gietzen of Identity who was awarded a bottle of champagne.

It was also last Friday that we received an exciting call telling us that we’d won the top tier of the OBC The Accountants special seven-tier cake.
Earlier in the week the OBC team, who always like to make a stir, baked more than 100 chocolate cupcakes for a special seven-tier cake that was sold off to local businesses. Everyone who bought a cupcake was entered in a competition to win the top tier and in total OBC The Accountants raised £350 for Comic Relief.
Now, with all the cake we consumed a couple of weeks ago in aid of the Rockinghorse Brighton Bake Off, we thought we could never eat a slice of cake again! But who were we kidding, the cake wasn’t around for long!
