We are delighted to be shortlisted for two public relations awards this year for our campaign Go e-sussex. We have been nominated for a Fresh PR Award and a Chartered Institute of Public Relations PRide Award.
Our Go e-sussex campaign was created with East Sussex County Council to highlight the demand for high-speed broadband in East Sussex. The campaign was a great success and resulted in a deal to install fibre broadband across the county over the next three years.
Tim Cobb, managing director of Cobb PR, said he was delighted that the campaign was being recognised at a national level.
He said: “We had a lot of fun working on this project, and that is reflected in the great results it achieved. It is fantastic that our efforts have been recognised as being among the best in the UK. “
The CIPR PRide Awards recognise outstanding talents and achievements of public relations’ practitioners across the UK. They are one of the most prestigious awards of their kind and so we are extremely proud to be recognised.
The Fresh PR Awards are national awards. They aim to encourage and celebrate creativity and innovation in the creative, communications, digital and media arenas in the UK and Ireland.
Commenting on this year’s shortlist announcement, CIPR President Sue Wolstenhome, said:
“This year’s entries were all of an incredibly high standard, highlighting the industry-leading work that is taking place right across the UK.”
We are so thrilled to be involved in both awards and are eagerly anticipating the finals. The Fresh PR Awards will be held on Wednesday 25th September at the Imperial War Museum North in Manchester. The CIPR PRide Awards will be located at The Grand Central Hotel in Glasgow on Thursday 24th October 2013. Fingers Crossed!
In other award news, our client the Let’s Do Business Group have also been shortlisted for the Enterprise Communicator of the Year Award with the award ceremony taking place at the British Library on 15th November.
