The Eastbourne Save the DGH Campaign team, supported by Cobb PR, has smashed a world record for the world’s largest postcard.
At 30 feet high, the post card beat the current world record held by a town in Slovenia. It is being delivered to the DGH calling for the return of local maternity and paediatric services.
The card will be delivered by campaigners, including campaign leader Liz Walke, during a march on the hospital on Saturday September 7, with a clear message to senior managers – We Wish You Were Here.
Stephen Lloyd MP went on to say “Our world record card has a serious intent: we want Eastbourne DGH to have a long term sustainable future and the whole town and surrounding area have real concerns about what is happening. Be it a couple of youngsters being knocked outside DGH and, ludicrously, being driven to A & E at Conquest or a mum having to give birth in a car on the way to Hastings – it is clear our hospital core service are being salami sliced and we will simply not stand idly by.”
